I tried the Big Spoon almost two years ago after some disappointing meals from a couple of restaurants and have become a weekly regular. They have a revolving menu so you get different choices each week. They offer locally sourced ingredients prepared in flavorful ways. Everyone is very approachable and responsive. I am always excited to see what their weekly choices are. They also have a freezer section so I can get some previous favorites and defrost them when I do not want to cook. Prices are reasonable and quantities are just right. I am grateful for them as they are a great option when you need something yummy that you don't want to make yourself or a break from cooking. You can pickup or have your order delivered. Nice people, local ingredients, good food at reasonable prices- a real treasure!
I recently came across Big Spoon and just picked up my third order. All of the food has been amazing! I love that the food is sourced locally. I love the variety of a new weekly menu and the freezer selections to grab up past favorites and new creations. A “pint” container may sound confusing and small, but in my experience, will usually feed 2. Give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.
I absolutely *love* this place. Everything about Big Spoon is local – it’s North Country people running a North Country business using North Country ingredients. The weekly ordering process is really convenient, the service is always excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the meals are SO good. Plus, I appreciate the option to choose reusable containers. Big Spoon is a local treasure, and I’m always happy to have them feed my family every week.
My family gets Big Spoon dinners frequently and they are always delicious. We had them cater an event for the first time (St. Lawrence Graduation Reception) and it was incredible! The planning and the set up was seamless and the food was a hit! Rosie and Will were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

There is nothing better than eating a home cooked meal that you don't have to cook yourself. We have been picking up meals weekly for about 2 months and it has been wonderful. First of all, the meals are super tasty and good for you. The people working there are kind and helpful. One week I thought I had placed my order and went to pick it up. I had not finished placing the order! They told me not to worry, they will fix up the order for me while I waited...plus they gave me bonus delicious cookies. The variety of meals allows us to try things we may not make at home. Their baked goods are out of this world. I recommend Big Spoon to everyone I know.
We have meals delivered almost every week, and it is always absolutely delicious and high quality. We are new to Potsdam, and heard about Big Spoon from our neighbours. It's so nice to have local food, and it's just always so beautifully done! Big Spoon is a huge part of the community!

Rosie and her team did a phenomenal job catering meals for our team at our Potsdam hotel. 4 different meals over three days and everything was excellent. They went out of their way to accommodate our food allergies as well. Service couldn’t have been friendlier. I don’t know when we’ll be back in the area but I won’t hesitate to call Big Spoon when we are. Highly recommend!
